2021 American Graphic Design Award Winners
I’m excited to announce that two of my projects from 2021 have been awarded an American Graphic Design Award from Graphic Design USA Magazine!
The American Graphic Design Awards is a national competition that spotlights areas of excellence for creative professionals. It is the original competition from GDUSA magazine open to everyone in the creative community honoring outstanding work of all kinds across all media in the realm of graphic design. Roughly 10,000 entries were submitted, and a highly selective 10% were chosen as winners. Since 1963, GDUSA has been a business-to-business information source for graphic design professionals.
Each year, I choose a few projects to submit for consideration. My 2021 winners are:
Fine Printing Papers Swatchbook
Category: Collateral
This swatchbook was designed for Monadnock Paper Mills as a sales tool to show the complete line of Fine Printing paper stocks to marketers, brand owners, and designers. It includes product information, print demonstrations and waterfalls of paper samples. Within this book, we offer a glimpse of the possibilities of what you can achieve using conventional 4-color process imagery. We show this through a juxtaposition of half of an image in its original full color, and half with either a duotone, tritone or quadtone effect applied.
Polyonics HIGHdegree Branding
Category: branding
Polyonics was launching a new product line in an up-and-coming product category of labels and tags for metal manufacturing. The challenge was to speak to an industry about a new inventory tracking system that they didn’t know they needed. I was tasked to come up with a name and design visuals for this new sub brand that fit into the existing Polyonics system, but that had it a life of its own.
