2024 American Graphic Design Award Winners

I’m excited to announce that two of my projects from 2024 have been honored in the GDUSA Design Awards by Graphic Design USA Magazine!

The GDUSA Design Awards is a national competition that spotlights areas of excellence for creative professionals. It is the original competition from GDUSA magazine open to everyone in the creative community honoring outstanding work of all kinds across all media in the realm of graphic design. Over 8,000 entries were submitted, and nearly 800 (about 10%) were chosen as winners. Since 1963, GDUSA has been a business-to-business information source for graphic design professionals.

Each year, I choose a few projects to submit for consideration. My 2024 winners are:

Designs by JuJu Brand Identity and Website

Category: Branding + Identity Programs

Designs by JuJu, a creator and seller of downloadable digital designs for embroidery hobbyists needed a complete brand overhaul. While their products are top-notch, easy to use and well produced, their branding and website did not reflect that. Their existing logo and visuals had a "home crafter" look, and there was no meaning or strategy behind any of it. There were no brand guidelines in place so the typography was inconsistent. The use of color was overpowering and not purposeful. The over-designed web graphics competed with the products.
